Description
Troubleshoot short circuits without blowing fuses
The Fuse Saver® 2.0 automotive short circuit tester provides a fast and safe way to diagnose electrical shorts in vehicles without repeatedly blowing fuses or relying on traditional smoke-testing methods.
The Fuse Saver uses manual-reset thermal circuit breakers that allow technicians to stress test a circuit while protecting it from continued current flow when a short is detected. When the breaker trips, simply reset it to restore power and continue troubleshooting. This makes it easier to track down difficult-to-find electrical shorts without constantly replacing fuses.
The kit includes three color-coded, manual-reset thermal breakers rated at 10, 15, and 20 amps. The included 10-foot fuse cord gives technicians plenty of room to move around the vehicle while troubleshooting, making the Fuse Saver useful for diagnosing radios, CD players, radar detectors, and other automotive accessories.
